Home Assistant brings an SMLIGHT device’s local controls and readings online before looking up available firmware. Previously the integration waited for the online catalogue first, even when the device was already reachable on the home network.
The firmware check runs in the background. Update entities retain information such as the installed version when a catalogue request fails. The integration can pick up the available firmware on its next daily check or a manual refresh.
