ESPHome adds support for the Texas Instruments BQ25820 battery charger. Makers can configure charging limits and the controller’s solar power tracking over its wired connection, then read battery and input voltage, current, charging state and faults.
The driver restores its settings after the chip resets or its watchdog expires, and retries a configuration that could not be written. Ashley Theiss makes a first contribution to ESPHome with the addition.
