Home Assistant prevents a bad MQTT text-encoding setting from stopping updates for other devices. A subscription covering every topic could previously interrupt all MQTT entity updates without writing an error to the log.

Unknown encoding names are rejected when entities, discovery messages and triggers are configured. If an invalid encoding still reaches the receiving code, that subscription is logged and skipped while other subscribers continue.
