Home Assistant marks a SimpliSafe V3 sensor unavailable when SimpliSafe reports that sensor offline. An entry sensor could previously keep showing its last closed state even after it lost contact.
The reading returns on the next update after the device comes back online. This check applies to V3 sensors, rather than cameras or only the alarm system’s overall connection.
