A set of repairs in Home Assistant’s shared Bluetooth libraries restores known discoveries immediately after an adapter flips between active and passive mode. Bleak 3 clears its seen-device map on every start; the in-place mode switch had not restored it, leaving connection attempts blind until each device happened to advertise again.
Passive scans also recognize more real-world discoverability flag values, and diagnostics now distinguish a device remembered in history from one currently cached by a scanner. A separate fix stops the final retry from selecting passive mode on Linux adapters that do not support it.
