ESPHome adds the reTerminal E1001 display

A new driver lets makers target its 800×480 monochrome e-paper panel, with full, fast and partial refresh modes.

ESPHome is adding support for the Seeed reTerminal E1001’s e-paper display, including the board’s default wiring. The same driver covers Waveshare’s 7.5-inch V2 panel and a bare-controller option for custom hardware.

The driver offers ordinary full refreshes, faster full refreshes and partial updates that compare against the display controller’s previous image. Matching documentation supplies supported-model tables and a partial-refresh example.
