Maarten Lakerveld redesigned Home Assistant’s timer dialog around the actions people use most. Start, pause and cancel controls are joined by an optional finish button, so routine timer changes no longer depend on a separate action call.
Energy
The next iOS energy widget expands its glanceable view from grid and solar to four parts of a household’s energy picture.
Bruno Pantaleão Gonçalves expanded the Home Assistant iOS energy widget beyond grid and solar. The design stacks battery discharge above the chart axis and charging below it; gas appears as a separate figure because homes may measure it by volume rather than energy.
Week in review
From inverter data to seven more voice languages, long-form playback and a smoother Cloud signup path, the week moved several parts of the open home forward.

Bram Goolaerts’ new provider connects Music Assistant with VRT MAX, the streaming service of the Flemish public broadcaster. It covers live stations including Radio 1, Radio 2, Studio Brussel, MNM and Klara, alongside listen-back programmes, podcasts and search. Live radio does not require an account.

Apple calendars become read-only Home Assistant entities without another login or configuration step.
