Maarten Lakerveld redesigned Home Assistant’s timer dialog around the actions people use most. Start, pause and cancel controls are joined by an optional finish button, so routine timer changes no longer depend on a separate action call.
People can also define preset durations that start a timer with one tap. Short lists appear as a row of buttons, while longer lists can use a dropdown; the same work modernizes the detail dialog and adds an animation when time runs out.
