A Home Assistant backup could report a successful restore while silently leaving out its network storage connections and Docker registry settings. Supervisor corrects the way it reads those settings from an encrypted backup, recovering information that was present but never applied.
The failure affects encrypted backups containing Supervisor settings since Supervisor 2026.03.3. Stefan Agner says the saved settings remain intact and can be recovered by restoring again with the correction. His companion Core fix also encrypts or decrypts those settings when preparing a download or moving a backup between locations with different encryption choices.
