The language matcher behind Assist recognizes Italian and French phrases whose articles join the next word with an apostrophe. Natural wording such as the Italian “nell’ingresso” could fail unless an unnatural space followed the apostrophe, even though the language rules already allowed the normal spelling.
Martino Dell’Ambrogio corrects the word boundary in Hassil, covering straight and curly apostrophes in his first contribution to the library. Michael Hansen also makes it ignore stray dashes and ellipses at word boundaries, including a trailing dash that Soniox sometimes adds to a transcript. Hyphens inside words and minus signs before negative numbers keep their meaning.
