ESPHome corrects failures that could stop PN7150 and PN7160 NFC readers detecting tags or make a tag left in place repeatedly appear to arrive and leave. PN532 readers also stop reporting failed tag writes as successful, and avoid restarting midway through formatting an NTAG215 tag.
Keith Burzinski also closes a memory-reading flaw in PN7150 and PN7160 card emulation, where the ESPHome device presents itself as a tag. A nearby reader could request data beyond the intended message; requests now stay within its bounds. Existing YAML settings stay the same.
Burzinski tested physical ESP32 setups with all three reader families, including tag reads and writes.
