Home Assistant gives AI assistants a choice of media search results before starting playback. The previous combined tool automatically played the first match; separate tools let the assistant inspect the results and choose one that fits the request.
Paulus Schoutsen returns up to 20 playable matches with their titles and media types. The tools work with exposed players that support both searching and playback; the assistant is told to play a selected result on the player that supplied it.
