Music Assistant gives each household member their own favourites and dislikes. The heart shown in the interface reflects the signed-in listener’s choice, and an update from another person no longer replaces it. This extends the account protections reported on September 27, which left the app’s own hearts shared.

Personal dislikes also shape radio, mixes and autoplay: Music Assistant skips disliked tracks and music from disliked albums or artists when it chooses what to play. A track someone deliberately selects can still play. Disliking a new track does not add it to the connected music service’s library.

Marcel van der Veldt preserves existing favourites for the owners of the music sources that hold them, or for everyone when the source is shared by the whole home. Choices made on another device update the interface without a reload.
