Home Assistant adds UniFi Protect camera events to connections that use only an API key. Motion, sound detection, smart detection and package events become available where the camera exposes them, broadening the existing connection’s use in automations.
Raphael Hehl verified 33 event entities on a live console that previously had none in this mode. Doorbell rings, NFC, fingerprint and vehicle events still require full access through the private interface.
