Home Assistant adds a battery-charge percentage for some SolarEdge Home Hub inverters that expose no separate battery through their local connection. The reading appears on the inverter itself; capacity, health and power remain unavailable.
Franck Nijhof’s fallback requires an installer-set grid profile supporting IEEE 1547-2018. To avoid reporting batteries where none exist, it appears only after a nonzero charge reading at setup. A real battery at exactly zero needs an integration reload after it gains charge.
