Music Assistant avoids a long stall when adding music to a large shuffled queue with Optimize order for Smart Fades enabled. Instead of comparing every waiting track at once, it orders the next 25 and prepares later batches while music plays.
In Marcel van der Veldt’s test with a 6,500-track queue, adding 40 tracks fell from 23 seconds to 0.04 seconds. Tracks stay within their batches, so music with existing analysis no longer jumps ahead of unfamiliar tracks, and the queue keeps following the song that is actually playing.
