Contributor Bruno Pantaleão Gonçalves associates the watch’s saved-home loading with reports from roughly 2,000 devices on version 2026.9.3, and the phone’s shortcut refresh with reports from about 876 devices.

Music Assistant expands Smart Fades beyond tracks that can share a beat. Songs with different tempos or time signatures can overlap through their quiet intros and outros for up to 15 seconds, instead of routinely receiving a short cut.

Music Assistant adds an optional Talk over the intro setting to AI Radio segments. The end of the host’s spoken break can play over the start of the next song, with the music lowered beneath the voice and the overlap ending before the first sung line.

Music Assistant avoids a long stall when adding music to a large shuffled queue with Optimize order for Smart Fades enabled. Instead of comparing every waiting track at once, it orders the next 25 and prepares later batches while music plays.

Home Assistant keeps MELCloud Home devices when the cloud service unexpectedly returns an empty account. Previously, one such reply removed every device and its entity customizations. The devices instead become unavailable until the service reports them again.

A missing drive under a Local files folder stops looking like deleted music, including after a restart.
Music Assistant preserves tracks when a drive or share beneath a Local files source is temporarily unavailable. A source reading a parent folder such as /media previously treated an offline share as empty and removed its tracks, recreating them when the share returned.

The updated connection also retires its own grouping and browser player, with Universal Groups as the replacement.

Music Assistant corrects MSX Bridge playback on televisions and consoles that manage their own playlist, including Samsung Tizen and Xbox. These devices could stop after the first song because later track requests failed authentication. The revised connection follows Music Assistant’s queue directly.

Home Assistant changes action handling in 20 integrations so a failed command no longer looks successful while the automation carries on. Errors reach the caller with a translated explanation, including failures in Discord notifications, Neato controls and Yamaha actions.

The local speech server’s page exposes voice settings that previously required a separate API request.
Piper’s web page gains controls for choosing a speaker and changing how speech is generated, including speaking rate. People evaluating a local voice can try its alternatives without leaving the browser to write an API request.
