Piper’s web page gains controls for choosing a speaker and changing how speech is generated, including speaking rate. People evaluating a local voice can try its alternatives without leaving the browser to write an API request.

Michael Hansen adds sliders and number fields, a speaker selector for voices that contain several speakers, and a reset to the voice’s defaults. Chosen settings survive each new speech sample. The controls are in Piper’s own web server.
