Music Assistant preserves tracks when a drive or share beneath a Local files source is temporarily unavailable. A source reading a parent folder such as /media previously treated an offline share as empty and removed its tracks, recreating them when the share returned.

Marcel van der Veldt also covers Home Assistant shares that are already offline when the server starts. If Home Assistant’s share list cannot be read, that synchronization avoids deletions. Removing a storage location permanently still lets its tracks leave the library; cloud and WebDAV sources are unchanged.
