Home Assistant adds a local setup route for LaMetric displays: confirm the device, then press its top button to authorize the connection. Compatible devices from 2022 onward provide their access key directly, avoiding a LaMetric account or manually copying the key.
Franck Nijhof tests the full connection on a LaMetric TIME. The display asks for a press only after the person confirms its address, with a minute to respond. Older devices keep the cloud-import and manual-key options, and the local route also supports replacing rejected credentials.
