Home Assistant separates Rituals Perfume Genie controls from its sensor checks, so a failed battery or cartridge request no longer takes the diffuser’s controls offline or prevents setup. All an account’s diffusers are checked together every five minutes; slower-changing readings use longer intervals.
Franck Nijhof calculates about fourteen requests an hour for one diffuser instead of about one hundred, with each extra diffuser adding two rather than another hundred. Battery and connection readings update hourly, while cartridge fill updates daily or when the cartridge changes. Existing entity identifiers stay the same.
