Home Assistant adds the UniFi Alarm Hub as a device and exposes its configured wired zones. Inputs can report motion, an opening, smoke, glass breakage or an emergency button according to their configured zone type, allowing the hub’s signals to participate in household automations.

The connection also exposes tamper detection, backup-battery voltage and problems, and the last event time. Follow-up corrections handle hubs added while Home Assistant is running and hubs without a name. Arming and disarming use the existing alarm control panel; the addition does not control the hub’s siren outputs.
