Home Assistant OS gains automatic installation of patch updates within the owner’s chosen time window. The optional updater chooses an eligible patch for the running release series after the configured waiting period, leaving skipped versions alone.

It avoids safe mode and waits while a Core update or backup is already running. Each installation uses a saved, randomly chosen point within the window and makes one attempt per window. Installation follows the existing update process, including a backup when enabled and Supervisor’s health checks and rollback handling.

The version must still be offered by Supervisor, so withdrawing a release prevents it from being selected.
