Home Assistant lets blueprint authors show only the inputs relevant to the choices someone has made. A fixed-brightness option, for example, can reveal its brightness field while other modes keep it out of the way. Whole sections can follow the same rule.

The same capability reaches integration setup and options forms. OpenAI Conversation uses it to put advanced settings beside its recommended-settings switch, hiding them while recommendations are enabled instead of adding a separate step.

Hidden form fields are neither required nor saved. Blueprint inputs still resolve to their configured default, or an empty value when they have none, so authors need to account for that when designing the automation.
