Matter.js Server corrects a migration failure that left devices unavailable with empty readings after moving from the Python Matter Server. Version 1.5.0 could create a new controller identity instead of using the identity the devices already trusted.
The migration now imports the existing identity into the storage the controller reads and refuses conflicting data instead of overwriting it. Installations already affected need to restore their migration backup and try again: automatically replacing the identity could cut off devices paired after the failed move. Importing further changes from the old server on later starts remains separate follow-up work.
