ESPHome adds interaction to its remote-screen display. A connected touchscreen sends taps and drags to the computer running the dashboard, while automation actions send pointer movements, keyboard keys or text.
The VNC connection, which shares the computer’s screen, shows incoming changes immediately for two seconds after an input so taps receive a prompt visual response. This adds the controls missing from the view-only display covered on October 23; password support remains separate work.
