Home Assistant adds the camera interface Echo Show expects for live viewing through Home Assistant Cloud. Cameras could appear in Alexa while a request such as “show the porch camera” did nothing, because the older streaming interface no longer supplied the live-view path.
The change applies to cameras with native WebRTC support or a provider such as go2rtc. The contributor tested a real Echo Show with UniFi Protect cameras through Home Assistant Cloud, confirming both spoken requests and the Alexa app’s Live View button.
