Home Assistant makes dashboard tiles easier to use with a screen reader. A tile acting as a button is announced once, and its icon describes the action—such as toggling a floor lamp—instead of repeating the tile’s name.
Brightness and other controls are grouped under their card’s name, and area-wide light buttons say which room they affect. Climate and humidifier status badges also gain spoken alternatives, such as Heating.
