Linux Voice Assistant tries to reopen its microphone after a failed audio stream, such as one caused by a computer waking from sleep, a USB interruption or an audio-server restart. Previously, the recording thread stopped while the rest of the process stayed online in Home Assistant, leaving an apparently working assistant unable to hear requests.
Florian Asche adds an immediate retry and a second attempt two seconds later. If neither works, the whole process exits with an error so a configured Docker or systemd restart policy can restart it.
