Music Assistant uses Home Assistant to pair compatible ESPHome Sendspin devices without asking the owner to paste a pairing token. Its Home Assistant connection follows the devices Home Assistant announces and requests a token when an encrypted, unpaired player connects.
The change connects Music Assistant to the ESPHome pairing support added to Home Assistant earlier this week. Home Assistant fetches the token directly from the device rather than storing it. Both sides need the corresponding support; an older Home Assistant simply leaves automatic pairing off, with manual pairing still available.
