ESPHome’s PIP Solar integration stops turning a failed or timed-out inverter poll into a fault indication. Missing or unreadable fault codes become unknown, rather than switching the fault sensor on.
The same correction applies to five numeric fields, including output-source priority and solar power-balance settings. Missing values previously became misleading numbers, which varied with the processor. Valid fault codes and readings keep their existing meaning.
