Home Assistant adds controls for a computer’s audio devices through System Bridge. The system’s default output gains volume and mute controls and a choice of output, while each output has its own controls. Microphone inputs gain volume and mute settings, with a separate selector for the default input.

ESPHome adds live controls for its ESPectre Wi-Fi motion detector. Makers can adjust sensitivity and the number of detections needed to turn motion on or off, change the detection algorithm, and pause sensing through a switch instead of rebuilding firmware for each adjustment.

ESPHome’s online image component accepts progressive JPEGs, including the format commonly served by Immich previews. It previously rejected these files outright, leaving makers unable to display them without converting the image first.

Home Assistant corrects a November beta problem that made OpenRouter conversation agents perform each requested action twice. Asking to add milk to a shopping list could add two entries, while toggling a device could immediately undo the first toggle.
