Home Assistant’s Google Weather integration adds an action for retrieving the provider’s detailed precipitation forecast. Depending on the location, the forecast extends up to six hours in two- or fifteen-minute intervals, giving automations more detail about approaching rain. It uses Google’s experimental minute-forecast service.
The action requests fresh data only when called and counts toward the Google Weather API quota. It does not add background polling or a ready-made weather-card display; the data is returned for an automation or other consumer to use.
