Sonos speakers can read several tracks ahead of what is playing. Music Assistant was refusing valid requests once a speaker got too far ahead of its own playback position, eventually bringing an album to a stop. The queue now measures those requests against the audio actually sent to the speaker.
Marcel van der Veldt tested the correction on a Sonos Beam with twenty 20-second tracks. Before the fix, playback stopped at track six; afterward, all twenty played without a refused request. Another correction prevents a failed preliminary check from marking an otherwise playable track as permanently unavailable in its queue.
Older Sonos S1 speakers had a different route to silence: starting radio could freeze Music Assistant while it waited for information from a speaker that was itself waiting for the stream. OzGav moves that query into the background so audio can keep flowing, with the original reporter verifying the fix.
