Home Assistant Cloud troubleshooting no longer sends people past a working fix because their browser passes an IPv6 test. Nabu Casa’s revised guidance explains that the browser can test a different machine and network route from the Home Assistant host, where stale addresses can still block sign-in or remote access.

Ashton rewrites the steps as a reset: temporarily disable IPv6, restart the host, sign in and restore the setting. The guidance explicitly tells Thread and Matter users to put IPv6 back, and explains that an immediate return of the problem points to an unresolved network fault.
