People who want to bring their local open-home community together can register a meetup for November 7. Open Home Foundation Community Day welcomes gatherings around Home Assistant, ESPHome and Music Assistant, with a new website that puts local events on a shared map.
Missy Quarry’s announcement turns August’s save-the-date into practical help for hosts. She and event organizer Florencia have prepared a Community Meetups Playbook covering venues, activities, reimbursement and guests’ privacy in photographs. Hosts can add their event to the Luma calendar and create an invitation image with the supplied asset generator.
Official merchandise requests close on October 5. The foundation also offers reimbursement for eligible event expenses and locally produced merchandise under its guidelines, with requests due by December 7; purchases from its own store are excluded. The host resources and calendar give organizers a place to start planning while guests look for a gathering nearby.
