Music Assistant’s server gains a way to keep personal music accounts separate from those shared around the house. Each source has an owner and access settings for private use, selected people, all members or guests. Search, browsing and playback respect those choices, and playback prefers the listener’s own account.
Marcel van der Veldt’s work preserves existing access when converting older settings. It also prepares members to connect and manage their own accounts, although that self-management still needs role permissions and the companion interface. Administrators remain responsible for changing access in the server implementation.
