Tesla owners using Teslemetry gain a local route for commands from Home Assistant. Optional Bluetooth pairing sends commands directly to a nearby car, keeping control possible when the car’s mobile connection or the cloud is unreachable.
Brett Adams adds automatic fallback to the cloud for individual commands when Bluetooth cannot handle them. Existing controls stay in their familiar places in Home Assistant, so the new connection works through the vehicle entities people already use.
A companion correction closes the Bluetooth link if an unexpected error interrupts pairing. A failed authorization attempt therefore does not leave the connection open.
