Home Assistant fetches a fresh Tuya QR code when someone confirms they want to reconnect the account. Previously, it requested the code as soon as authentication expired and kept it while waiting, so opening the prompt later could present an unusable code that only a restart replaced.
The correction applies to reconnecting an existing account. Initial setup already creates a new code.
